Arthur Galea Salomone graduated Master of Laws from the University of Toronto and Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta. As a Commonwealth Scholar, he read International Commercial Law at the University of Toronto.

Arthur is the Managing Partner of Galea Salomone & Associates and during the past fifteen years he has practiced widely in Corporate and Commercial Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial Services Law, Maritime Law, Real Estate law, Foreign Investment.

Arthur holds a number of high profile appointments in the public and private sector. He is Deputy Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange, Deputy Chairman of the Malta Arbitration Centre, Director at APS Bank Ltd. (the Church owned bank in Malta), Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of APS Bank, founder and Director of the Finco Group of Companies, Director of Midi plc, (currently the largest real estate development in Malta), Director of Rhenas Insurance Company, one of the first captive insurance companies to be registered in Malta. He was also Director of Tri Med Accumulator Funds, one of the first collective investment schemes to be registered locally.

Arthur Galea Salomone is a lecturer and examiner in the Commercial Law department of the Faculty of Laws at the University of Malta. He has lectured and examined widely on various aspects of Commercial Law, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Stock Exchange Regulation, Insolvency Law, Financial Services Regulation etc. Arthur Galea Salomone is a regular speaker at conferences both locally and overseas.

James Bannister joined the firm in 2002 after having successfully completed the Doctor of Laws course at the University of Malta. James also read International Commercial Law at the University of Sussex and was awarded a Master of Laws degree from Sussex in 2002.

James was admitted to the Chamber of Advocates in 2002, thereby qualifying to practice as an advocate in Malta. James' areas of specialization include Company law, Trust law, Shipping law and Intellectual Property law. James has contributed a number of articles in respect of his areas of practice in international publications and acts as legal advisor to local non-governmental organisations.

Francis Galea Salomone joined the firm in 2002 having graduated as a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta. Francis was also conferred with a B.A. in International Business from the University of Malta in 1994 and with an M.A. from the University of Kent in 1995 where he read European Studies.

Francis' areas of specialization include Company law, Financial Services law, Telecommunications law, Commercial and Civil litigation and Property law. He holds the post of company secretary to Maltacom plc, Malta's largest telecommunications provider, and has also acted as a consultant to the Malta Development Corporation, the chief parastatal organisation for business development in Malta.

Tiziana Filletti graduated Bachelor of Arts (Legal and Humanistic Studies), with distinction, and Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta. She furthered her studies in Public International Law, Shipping Law and the Law of the Sea at the International Maritime Law Institute where she was awarded a Masters of Law (LL.M.) with distinction. As a Chevening Scholar she obtained a Masters of Law Degree (M. Jur.) in Corporate Law, Corporate Insolvency Law and Law of the Sea at the University of Oxford.

Tiziana joined the firm in 2006 and specializes in Corporate and Insolvency Law, Property Law and Commercial and Civil Litigation.
Tiziana Filletti also lectures and examines in Insolvency law and Financial Services at the University of Malta.

Marielise Buhagiar read law at the University of Malta graduating as a Notary Public in 1986 and as a Doctor of Laws in 1988. Marielise specializes in property transactions and testamentary issues.
