LITIGATION AND
ARBITRATION
The firm has an established litigation department which focuses principally on commercial litigation. A substantial proportion of the firm’s litigation consists in briefs from non resident clients in respect of a range of commercial issues, including commercial debt collection, execution of contracts with an international dimension, enforcement of foreign judgments and awards, which latter process has been facilitated by the implementation of the Brussels I Regulation (44/2001). The firm is also involved in Arbitration which, following the enactment of the Malta Arbitration Act 1996 is increasingly being resorted to as a means of dispute resolution.
